To Our Parents

First let us say thank you, this is not a commitment to be taken lightly and we are very glad that you have chosen to play Little League with us! Being a parent to a ball player can be one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences for both player and parent. However, it can also be very stressful and sometimes seem overwhelming. Please remember, they are kids. They are going to do all the things that kids do, they will have moments where they might not be focused, they will swing and miss, they will make bad throws and other mistakes. These areas of opportunity only make the hits, the great plays and triumphs even more exciting! Encouraging them to keep trying, continue to practice and always do their absolute best and that will make them a success no matter what the scorebook says.

Everyone that is on the field with your child, whether it be managers, coaches or umpires are here on their own time and volunteer to do so. Will they make mistakes, sometimes... will there be bad calls made... more than likely, but always remember that they are here for the players just as you are and how you react is how the players will react. We want this league and our players to be as successful as possible but we can only do that with the support of the parents and our volunteer coaches, umpires and board members.

This league is run by parents of players, both past and present, who volunteer to coach, umpire, keep score, and run the concession stand. Without the volunteers there is no league, so please be mindful when a mistake is made that we handle it in a respectful manner so that the volunteers continue to return and help support this league. 

Below you will find our league's parent code of conduct, we would greatly appreciate everyone taking a moment to review it and coaches will have them at the first few practices for everyone to sign. Let’s continue to make Inverness Little League a great place for the children of Inverness!
